About the Event
The latest update of the Nebraska Energy Code from the 2009 IECC to the 2018 IECC poses a number of challenges for the designers, specifiers, contractors and other members of Nebraska’s construction industry. This presentation is intended to assist participants to understand the requirements, challenges and reasoning associated with the code update.
Learning Objectives
- A brief history of the Energy Code in Nebraska.
- A discussion of the Statutory Requirements and Services available/required from NDEE.
- A discussion of the commercial and residential Energy Code U.S. DOE determinations and NDEE evaluations that reviewed the updated codes and their overall impact.
- A discussion of the target areas established in the 2018 IECC for improving overall building efficiencies.
