About the Event
Fire Protection design and guidelines for design professionals is geared towards the education of design professionals to help maintain the heath, safety and well-being of the occupants of facilities that they are designing. This presentation addresses the governing codes and helps identify the correct types of fire protection that are required based off the size and occupants of the buildings.

Learning Objectives:
- Review and understand current building codes that are governing our construction projects today and the discussion of limitations based off size of projects.
- Obtain an understanding of the importance of Life Safety and analyze all of the different types of fire protection ratings and how they affect construction products.
- Review the many different types of fire suppression systems that are available in the marketplace today and understand when and where each different system is best utilized.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the different types of fire alarm systems and mass notification systems that are being utilized in today's construction projects.
