Seminar Programs and Schedules

We will have three different seminar tracks this year, Incoming Presidents Training, Chapter Development and Professional Development. These seminars tracks will be packed with great information. People who choose the Chapter Development and Professional Development tracks will be able to choose seminars between each track. We are also planning a building tour.
Incoming Presidents Training Track:
This will be an all day event on Friday for new incoming chapter presidents. This training covers a wide variety of topics and is very helpful for those taking over the position of chapter president. More on this topic will be sent to each chapter by Todd Johnson, chair of this year's training. People who are required to take the Incoming Presidents Training will have time on Saturday morning to attend a Chapter and or Professional Development seminars.
Chapter Development Track:
The Chapter Development seminars will deal with chapter/leadership development including sessions on topics such as membership, programs, certification etc. targeted specifically to the local chapter's committee chairs.

Friday Lunch + Baseball Presentation
"History of Baseball Park Design Over the Last 25 Years"
This program will be an informative and entertaining look at the dynamics of baseball park design over the past twenty-five years and will address some of the technical aspects in the design of ballparks. The city of Omaha has a wonderful history of hosting both professional and college baseball. Two new stadiums, one for each usage, opened last year. Many people, including many taxpayers of the city of Omaha, are still wondering why did we need two when, for 45 years plus, one venue served both purposes-AAA Professional minor league baseball, and the college world series.
This program will be presented by Stan Meradith, NCARB AIA, principal with DLR Group Architects, Engineers, Planners, and Interior Designers, Omaha, Nebraska. DLR Group serves its clients with 21 offices located nationwide, and in Shanghai China.
North Central Region Meeting:
On Saturday we will have our traditional North Central Region business meetings.
